I don't even want to wax at length on this any more. On what I became under duress.
I don't really want to go on and on about the religious aspect of this as if that pivot toward Buddhism absolves me for what I became (it doesn't).
I just want to be the person I was 11 years ago. Someone who was starting to heal and live a good life. The person I was before I lost hope.
Deradicalizing is hard when you come from a background that would have radicalized anyone.
Yet if I didn't take on this work my own anger would have destroyed me.
My work isn't done. I still stumble. I'm trying very hard because I have to succeed at this.
Surprise Green victory in Baden-Württemberg!
If Europe goes green then there might be a lot to hope for after all.
A local friend seems to think the rise of the far right is a hiccup and that the trend is overall toward a Green democracy.
I sure hope he's right.
If Europe can stay out of Iran, there is still hope.
Some neocon/neolib aligned politicians want Europe to be more involved but they seem to be a minority so far.
Spain flat out kicked the US off its military bases which was undeniably a smart move.
