It's Friday, it's a gorgeous day here in the valley, and the jasmine has started blooming. Think I'll knock off early and sit on the balcony with some ridiculously cold white wine and a good book.

Back from Whitehorse & looking at some of the photos I took. You could still see your breath in the morning, but the crocuses were out on the ridge behind the Yukon Arts Centre and the view was glorious.
Also, I am very disappointed by the total lack of sheep or camping in this joint.

Hello again, Whitehorse! I'm back for another week of being the Responsible Adult to my sister's beloved chaos monkeys.

It's no longer winter. This place is beautiful. The sun sets way too late, though--it's messing with my head.

This concludes today's episode of Banal Observations about The North. (Did I mention the light's messing with my head? Yeah. So tired; can't sleep.)

The trail up from Botanical Beach is very uphill. I like to think this person just gave up halfway and decided it would be easier to become a tree. Thankfully,
@flisswave , @BitterOldPunk & I persevered and made it home to tell their story.
Took a good pic of @BitterOldPunk at Botanical Beach today.

Finally found the motivation to make a major dent in Project Turn the Back Room from an Overpriced Storage Locker to a Work Space/Spare Room. Still, 2 years after moving in, so many boxes to unpack.

As a reward, I finally found the box of favourite knickknacks & small arts! Welcome to your new home, Mr. Lincoln & friends.

Sure, coastal BC is pretty, but every now and then you come across a view that makes you say, “Hey, tone it down a bit, wouldya? No-one likes a show-off.” That was me, today, waiting for a ferry.

This year's balcony gardening experiments: The Ensproutening.

Black Krim & Gold Nugget tomatoes. (Last year's Gold Nugget plant went completely berserk, reaching ~6' tall & producing more tomatoes than we could eat, so it's a keeper.)

Shishito, Arapaho, and Szentezi peppers. (All new to me. We'll see how they do.)

Genovese basil. (Last year's didn't have enough space, so I'm hoping for a better crop this year for pesto.)
