The algorithm is the method, but I suspect it’s more the advertising dollars that are the mechanism. Pick up on “X” , even if you drop it 30 seconds in, and everything remotely connected to “X” is paying YouTube to get in front of you.

I think I watched about 30 seconds of an environmental science hoax video a couple of days ago before realizing what it was, but it was enough to trigger a deluge. I would occasionally get a nutball recommendation in my feed before that, but today was a flood of right wing nutballs.

My main viewing is EVs/battery tech, basketball, poker, science and anime.

The media capture in this country is essentially complete. There is not a single mainstream outlet that is a reliable source of information, even when they are reporting the most basic truths about this disastrous and failing administration.

Obvious lies are put forth as credible statements without even an afterthought.

I love how every morning starts with Pete Hegseth assuring me that we've blown up a billion "targets" in Iran and destroyed 159% of the missiles they've ever even thought about building, but every evening finishes with Downmarket Mussolini getting BIG MAD because Iran fired more missiles.

Somehow, nobody around me seems to notice this phenomenon but it happens pretty much every day now.

The subhead for that article should be:

Fool who created fuel crisis plans to make it worse

This is hilarious. The question contains the answer, because any “likely Republican voter “ obviously supports the asshat in the Whitehouse regardless of anything else.

The question to be asked is what percentage of voters were “likely Republican“ a month ago, and what’s the percentage now.

And please understand, lots of people who currently say they aren’t likely to vote for Republicans sure as hell will, but this will move the needle.

Republicans overwhelmingly back Trump over Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly on Iran war, poll finds

Reports of Republican fractures over President Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran have been greatly exaggerated, according to a new poll shared exclusively with The Post Thursday.

I keep thinking about Argentina. Once, among the wealthiest nations on earth, it spiraled downward after it ignored its Constitution and power was concentrated into the executive office.

"uh oh, I've broken everything over here. You guys better come and fix it or you'll all be in deep trouble."
