I’m interested in the purposeful control of oscillations, such as when we struggle to reliably chunk/load one more item into WM, or when a puzzled dog cocks its head to initiate an AV phase reset.

Among the many hands-on activities to enjoy in Valencia’s spectacular Museum of Science is a pith-ball-moving contest (pictured). Participants don a headset and generate certain oscillations (delta and theta, if I recall) to will the pith ball toward their opponent. Unlike anything you've ever tried.

Here I was trying to introduce trig to a small-group of 9-year-olds. It's a good example of a very human instructional practice that AI cannot manage: rolling out new content in a patient, engaging, and developmentally appropriate way.
