X never mapped to twitter’s new name in my brain, so when I read/hear “so and so said whatever on X” my brain thinks of drug slang. Like I know they say that on X, but would they say the same thing on horse or blow?

Here's a grim little tidbit. I was just talking to a friend of mine who still works at the newspaper where I used to work, and she told me that pedestrians get killed by cars so often these days that they don't cover them as news anymore unless the victim was well known or the driver was arrested.
