Mike Babyak@gregggonsalves In the late 80s I was an RN working on a ventilator unit in a public hospital that served a relatively poor community. Saw so much suffering from AIDS. The sadness and sense of helplessness was overwhelming and traumatic. Covid unearthed all that grief. And it’s made worse by the politicization of it all. To see so much callousness and cynicism has been deeply, genuinely painful.
