Is this thing on? 🤣

The COVID-related public health backlash has successfully gathered these political interests under a single libertarian-esque umbrella.

Now it's not just about calls for "freedom" but ALSO about spreading the toxic stew of culture war bullshit that's gotten mixed in too.

Also, the “door” to each pod is just a pull-down blackout fabric shade. That means no lock, and no sound muffling - which is probably why i heard my neighbors snoring and in the AM getting up, getting their stuff, zipping up bags & changing clothes because i didnt use earplugs
I deactivated my birb account. I'm free of the insanity and #BigMassiveDumps.
Well that’s the straw that broke the camel completely in two. Goodbye bird site.
6. The @cdcgov
estimates that so far this year at least 4.4 M people have contracted #flu, 38000 have been hospitalized & 2100 have died.
That's a strange death toll for flu before Thanksgiving. But about that many Americans die per week from Covid still. https://cdc.gov/flu/weekly/

I'm a first gen academic and tired mom of two toddlers. Expect sarcasm and swearing. #medtwitter

We have decided to create an account at Mastodon. We need time to learn how this platform works but also how to synchronize our work here with the Twitter account.

Thank you all for joining us here. No matter where we are, the mission stays the same. We are in social media to commemorate the victims of Auschwitz and educate the world about the tragic story of the camp.

@gregggonsalves In the late 80s I was an RN working on a ventilator unit in a public hospital that served a relatively poor community. Saw so much suffering from AIDS. The sadness and sense of helplessness was overwhelming and traumatic. Covid unearthed all that grief. And it’s made worse by the politicization of it all. To see so much callousness and cynicism has been deeply, genuinely painful.
