There were red flags other than the one about my not having a Facebook account:
1. The hosting domain flagged it as spam.
2. The email was not sent to the alias that I had reserved especially for my Facebook account.
3. The handy link did not direct me to Facebook.
Just in case my original message gave anyone the impression that I'm a totally newbie to #spam. 🙂
I'm amazed at the inventiveness and skill required to create tools like this.
But I lament the corrosion of our society to the point where ordinary citizens have to take up the yoke of technical counter surveillance measures that until recently would've been arcane skills reserved for professional spies and spy hunters just to get by in life with the smallest shreds of dignity.
