I stumbled across this page, and I immediately longed for the good old days when the template said "you can help by expanding it".

But one comment "was removed by a moderator because it didn't abide by our community standards", and I just wonder how you can go so wrong in life that you write something unacceptably offensive under a delightfully harmless column like this.
I am not a competent legislation reader, but it sure sounds like Google would very much like the privacy requirements to include a loophole the size of a planet. (The bill says "collected for the purpose of, or for purposes including the purpose of", and they really don't like that second part.)
