IN AN ARMY OF LOVERS

I seem to be the center
of an army of lovers
rooting for me, cheering me on,
even convincing me that I am loved
in spite of all past misbeliefs
and gross appearances
to the contrary,
reheartening me with the confidence
that even if I fail in my efforts
to deal with my body,
all these individual vectors of Love
Are Just One Divine All-Impulsing Love,
of which I am so privileged
to be a soldier.

Let me make this *abundantly* clear. If you are symptomatic or at risk of being infectious with something that could complicate your patient’s clinical course, a fit-tested respirator (N95, FFP2, P2) is a low cost measure that you as a healthcare worker ignore to the detriment of your patient’s safety.
This is not controversial & is reflected in the current COVID policy instituted in many hospitals, but is likely just as relevant for #influenza, #RSV, #Rhinovirus. #Masks #COVID19 #PatientSafety

At 1p today, I'm giving a class in Mastodon to faculty and students. It'll be fun. I'll do the practical stuff first -- how to use Mastodon -- but then I hope I'll have time to explore the architecture of the Fediverse and its implications for journalism and media and then the cultural implications for #BlackTwitter and other communities in the Other Place.
