@hamatti The feeling I have is that people in the IT area are always expected to have a LinkedIn account and a Github account. I got in touch with the recruiter for my current job through LinkedIn. But I don't like the social aspect of it. I only see people creating super "inspirational" posts, bragging about anything and everything. Seeing those posts feels like reading a really bad self-help book. I really don't enjoy the platform as it is, but I still feel like it's a "necessary evil".
