Random shower thought, Bell Labs worked by hiring endless smart people, there are endless smart people in OSS. Wrap them up in a liberal collective and adopt the projects in a co-op structure that is taken seriously by governments or the EU and you have a powerhouse.
Whatâs more likely? A gov framework will recognise it or these people will want to work under a public sector paper pusher đ

I recall this from a software dev discussion from years ago which made me think about early optimisation.
Only start optimising when you hit âmanyâ.
