I hate it, but I unsubbed from everyone here who is also posting on Bluesky and now this place is all but dead for me. Thereโ€™s not enough going on to make me even want to check in daily. Sorry Mastodon, but you missed the big opportunity.

โ€œI saw people on television talking about itโ€
A little over 20 years ago, I made my first contribution to an #opensource project: #mono. Those were the days, I had the privilege of having private #irc chats with people like John Carmack and @Migueldeicaza (although neither of them will remember that ๐Ÿ˜…)and the internet was still free of all the bullshit it's littered with today. Now most of mono has been merged into #dotnet and #mono has been handed over to #winehq. That's over 20 years of .NET and still going strong, no plans to switch.

While NSA did not possess the equipment required to access the footage from the media format in which it was preserved, NSA deemed the footage to be of significant public interest and requested assistance from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) to retrieve the footage. NARAโ€™s Special Media Department was able to retrieve the footage contained on two 1โ€™ AMPEX tapes and transferred the footage to NSA to be reviewed for public release.

(not really 1 foot but maybe the NSA uses a different convention from everyone else?)

And you may tell yourself, these are not my beautiful data structures
And you may ask yourself, who wrote this crap
And you may ask yourself, how did I get here
