The media outlets who are carrying, "He was a normal guy, I never expected he'd do something like this," are promoting a framing that says a normal person can be pressured by shadowy forces to murder people.

Nobody needs to accept that framing. He was not a normal guy, he was a conspiracy theorist. This is the kind of thing conspiracy theorists do; He didn't "snap," he lived his dream.

You can wonder why he got that way, but he didn't "snap."
