I want to be able to talk about politics, music, videos games, teaching, art, technology, art markets, and weird cultural events. Feels like I need to be a member of several instances on Mastadon to do so? Like sort all my interests. I see the value of that for ppl who want focused spaces, perhaps unlike me. It is interesting to think about social networking not being a flood of everything and what that means for my own behavior.

I played Elden ring for just under 200 hours and enjoyed it even as it was frustrating and tedious at times. But towards the end and continuing I have been watching YT videos about the lore. A few ppl who describe themselves as archeologists and do long form explorations of game elements and unexplained parts of the story world. I am enjoying these stories almost as much as playing the game itself and I suppose it is a testament to the game designers and writers for this richness.

Gonna admit I am still unsure if I break the rules or norms of my "home instance" if I boost something (like news w/o CW or artist selling an NFT). I follow ppl across instances w/ different norms and want to support them but also do not want to cause issues...
