Mᴀʀᴋ VᴀɴᴅᴇWᴇᴛᴛᴇʀɪɴɢAs a child, I remember rushing home from church to watch the Apollo 11 moon landing. I consider that my interest in science, space, and mathematics are due to this formative experience. But Artemis II? I can't get excited. I view it as a shameful waste of resources to a nation that refuses to take care of its people by providing them education and health care, while using our military for conquest. It's an achievement to be sure, but I'm pretty meh about it.

Wojciech JaroszAnyone else working on the #EGSR 2026 paper deadline? I can't seem to find a way to enable line numbers in the compiled PDF via the official LaTeX template. Is that not an option? I thought it was in the past, and as a reviewer would strongly prefer submissions have line numbers.

Someone asked me for a refund over this post, so I’d like to make something clear: our community consists of trans and gay and disabled people and people of color and people whose first language is not English and a whole host of other kinds of marginalization and I have no plans to ever stop celebrating that.
