As a child, I remember rushing home from church to watch the Apollo 11 moon landing. I consider that my interest in science, space, and mathematics are due to this formative experience. But Artemis II? I can't get excited. I view it as a shameful waste of resources to a nation that refuses to take care of its people by providing them education and health care, while using our military for conquest. It's an achievement to be sure, but I'm pretty meh about it.
