Could someone better-at-patterns than me help me understand what I'm supposed to do here? I don't understand the diagrams or what the end product is supposed to look like.

Picked this up from the library and thought I'd share in case any of my fellow sweetiepies are interested!

Not implying we don't need to be vocal about opposing the rampant misogyny/transphobia/racism/etc but some of us don't have the spoons to be in menace mode all the time.

Just some nature photos I took last year in case you need a timeline cleanse.

This is late, but I made this dress out of a thrifted blanket for Christmas and I think it turned out cute, so I wanted to share it! I used the Ivy Dress pattern by OhMeOhMySewing on Etsy. I made a lot of clothes in 2024, and I feel like I'm finally at a point with sewing where I can make things that I will actually wear. (I've been sewing since I was 12, so it took a while.)

For my first ever contribution to #PortfolioDay, I'm sharing some of the drawing-based pieces I made in 2024!

If this is your first time encountering one of my posts, hi. I'm an artist and designer based in the midwest and I do a lot of printmaking, sewing, and fiber arts. Perhaps you'd like to follow along?

I don't have to certify the quality of a poem written in my sleep.

I would love to be the kind of person who has a year end wrap-up ready to go, but I'm simply not. I made so many projects that I never posted about!

Instead, here's a new multimedia print that I'm starting. The "print" part is forthcoming. Looking forward to making as much space as possible for art-making in 2025 🧚‍♀️

Does everyone's work training platform have a totally superfluous feature where you get coins to build a crest? A feature that developers spent many hours on that has no benefit to the user besides being silly? No?

Finished my quilted bag! This took 30+ hours to make and I felt capitalist guilt the whole time!

Despite that, for my first attempt at both quilting and making a bag, I love how it came out.

My first attempt at quilting. The rectangles don't line up perfectly, but that's okay, I'm just winging it and I accept that I'm a complete beginner.

It's going to be a cross-body bag once I make the rest of it. I wanted something smallish that would fit my iPad, sketchbook, phone, and wallet but wouldn't be any larger than necessary.

I also wanted to use up little bits of scrap fabric. I'm really liking the color scheme so far!
