Pour one out for the dozen remaining Twitter engineers, chained to their H1-B visas, forced to spend their 4-day weekend implementing and then correcting for all of Elon's dumbest ideas.

The US government has a long and sordid history of using "terrorism enhancements" to target #environmental justice protesters, #antifascist activists, #Blackliberation organizers, etc

Every #civilliberties org should condemn this. We @team do, unequivocally.

Please stop cross-posting your twitter feed automatically to Mastodon. When you cross-post but never engage with your Mastodon followers, you're treating this as a syndication platform rather than a community. It comes off arrogant, and it clutters the timeline.

Early on in my transition to the 'Don, I saw a recommendation to add people to lists if you want to make sure to see their posts, because the home timeline drops them pretty quickly. So I created a few lists and added appropriate people.

Then I added a ton of people without adding them to their lists. Something I paid for this morning as I went through a couple hundred accounts to add them to lists.

Don't be like me, kids. Create those lists and add people to them right away. You don't want Mastodon technical debt.
