On Gunditjmara land. Old unsociable grumpy leftie (both handed and politically). Cancer survivor (so far). Waiting to retire. Gender is not genitalia, and neither of them has anything to do with sexuality.
@imalcolm @peterrelph.bsky.social Grahame, like Lewis seemed to feel the need for an "Animal Jesus". Personally I prefer Grahame's Pan like incarnation who aides but prefers to be overlooked to the muscular but restrained by mercy Lion that is the Aslan of Lewis. YMMV.
@MsPraxis I liked PM Gillard for the most, but I cannot forgive her for raising the retirement age of all my family to 67 (on the same day as the "misogyny speech, so it didn't get the political notice it deserved).

Well, it took being killed on my first attempt (then coming back from the dead - was bound to happen here sooner or later), but on my second shot I've just defeated Feducci, the mysteriously bandaged leader of the Black Ribbon Society, in single combat.

So am now a revered duellist. Quite happy with that. 😉 #FallenLondon

#Last4Albums

Apparently I have been aiming for a mellow vibe today.

I've just realised that "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" comes from "Wind in the Willows" Who'd a known?
@peterrelph.bsky.social It's always a bit a shock when you first stumble apon that. Fortunately, I was aware of the chapter in the book before I encountered the album. Made it easier as you expect albums to be named after things.

Even with a to-read pile that's really four, it felt good to finish this on Xmas eve, to "clear the deck" mentally for potential book giftage on the morrow. 😉

@travisbaldree is the prequel to 'Legends & Lattes', and I had a cozy fantasy ball with its tale of a much younger Viv (L&L's orc protagonist) left behind by her mercenary troop in a quiet beach town to recover from a leg wound, and of the seeds of (much) later career change planted there.

> "My thirteen-year-old daughter still has access to all her social media accounts this morning, and she verified her age via facial scanning. I am hoping that they are still working their way through and she will be booted off soon, if not then it's a fail for us." > — Alison, NSW

Has Alison tried... being a parent?

The birds have been put away, the USB christmas tree unpacked, and a stiff scotch'n'cola poured. I'm home. Let solitude reign!2
@sortius I'm a post 70's IT guy, and even I can see that the social media ban is legally dodgy, provably unworkable, and only shows how our Federal government is unable to deal with IT issues.
