Best Berm Peak video is where Seth—who usually films himself crashing on some mountainbike trail—suddenly hacks into a failed e-bike's brain via a serial terminal and reimplements the functionality of the now defunct app on an esp32 connected to a touch screen.

edit: Don't miss out on his previous Revo videos. This thing may be one of the most entertaining product design desasters to ever happen.

Half of good writing is deleting the thing you were proud of yesterday.
Japan has a Hello Kitty Shinkansen, why is there no Bernd das Brot ICE in Germany?

Here's a rare concert from my favourite band, Chatmonchy.

This is shortly before Kumiko left (the drummer) and they continued as a duo.

It's on the official YouTube channel. Get it while it's hot, this stuff usually does not stay public very long.

@unfa The grease thing is not an issue with modern HDDs (for about 20 years). It's generally safe to write data, keep them in a cupboard 5 years, then make a fresh copy. Mechanical failure happens usually during use (on-off-cycles being the culprit), that's why a used drive is still fine for backup purposes.

In the end the medium is secondary. A backup needs a plan and someone who sees it through without giving up. I know I would give up with mdisc pretty quickly, given the size limit.

@unfa Generally I'd steer clear of any optical media for data I'd like to keep. You're better off with a bunch of used hard drives and a SATA to USB adapter.

Gerade las ich auf einem Autoanhänger irgendwas von „mehr Ladefläche“ und mein Hirn meinte, das ist Fläche, die ein E-Auto beim Laden benötigt.
