The Apple and iOS community lost one of the truly good ones recently.

Alex Hay, the developer of Toolbox Pro for Shortcuts, passed away last Saturday after a battle with cancer. He was 36.

The news left me devastated. With his family's blessing, we've decided to dedicate @AutomationApril to his memory. We'll be making donations to two cancer charities in his name; we encourage those who were fans of his work to do the same.

Alex was pure talent. We'll miss you.

Remembering Alex Hay, the Maker of Toolbox Pro, During Automation April

I have some sad news to share with the MacStories community. Recently, Alex Hay, the developer of Toolbox Pro and other apps, passed away after a battle with cancer. I can’t tell you how hard it is to write those words, and I can only imagine what those closest to Alex are going through. However,

Only on an @jsnell podcast could you find an AI Lucille Ball reference… 😂
@malin is there an option in mercury weather to show or see a Forecast narrative? Or is the only forecast shown as projected temps? See attached screenshot for example of what I mean. Thx.
The tape-tearing tiktok you didn’t know you needed:
@ChanceHMiller The Ultra is so powerful, perhaps Apple doesn’t think it needs to be updated in the Studio every time a new chip gen is released. Perhaps it will be a tick tock, every other gen?
@stroughtonsmith @viticci @[email protected] Now you know what its like to be a Detroit Lions fan.
@jeffkibuule @ChanceHMiller @JeffBenjam @9to5Mac Yes! Good to fall asleep by. ;)
Lots of new and updated #Mastodon apps this week, many of which will install and run on the #Mac. After testing them, it’s still the case that if you want an app that feels like it was actually made for the Mac, and isn’t an iPhone app kind of running on the desktop, your only option at the moment (and it’s a quite good one) is @MonaApp.
@zollotech You should also give @MonaApp a try. I’ve been using their Twitter client for a while, and found its Superior to the others. And the mastodon version is just like their twitter version…
@MonaApp Thank you! I just found Spring a couple month ago, and pleased that you are making the transition to Mastodon!
