Good morning dear #Fediverse!
May today be productive so the second half of your week is easier.
We are working on OIDC support, and exploring IndieAuth!
The Sign-in with Mastodon feature uses Mastodon specific APIs and is a temporary measure until we get OIDC in place and other platforms support it!
Edit: We shipped this, https://pixelfed.blog/p/2023/feature/introducing-sign-in-with-mastodon-streamlining-sign-up-and-login-on-pixelfed
✨ Sign-in with Mastodon is ready
We're so excited to share a demo of this highly anticipated feature, and let you know it will be rolling out shortly!
Today I went with a friend of mine and my son to watch another friend of ours play baseball. It’s just a local league, nothing too exciting, and (apart from the players families) we were the only spectators. It was also raining for part of the game but we sat under our umbrellas and watched the boys have fun.
We need to normalise actual encouragement of our friends endeavours. Not just saying, “hope your {insert event here} goes well,” but actually showing up for them.
I know we all lead busy lives but if we can’t spare them a few hours of our time once in a while, what are we even doing?
So, go see the movie they made, visit their art show, read their book, watch their sport.
The number of times I’ve been super proud of something I’m doing only to have no one show up or care is more than I want to count. It’s disheartening.
