Right now I run a #covid19 surveillance lab at #UNCCharlotte #CLT. Long term interests in #genomics #bioinformatics #wbe #microbiome #virome #infectiousdisease #pandemics @cynthiagibas basically everywhere on the socials.
You can see from the graph the same trend has been happening approximately every 3 months in the past year, almost like clockwork, with peaks of PCR positivity (green) and # of patients hospitalized (orange) in early January, April, July, and October. It will be interesting to see if this pattern continues with another peak in mid-January. 9/
