@markrowland Seeing Braverman in the House trying to make out she cares, is just awful. The only way she cares in the hope that the next boat will be put off - but sadly they wont, they believe UK gives them more opportunities and that is worth taking the risk for. We need a much kinder policy that makes trafficking uneconomic.

@lastrobot Thank you for that. I love the way the narrative slips us from thoughts about a family graveyard into the threat of being followed and the challenge of "What are you doing ...?" and makes us think where do we feel at home - in the grave or in our own neighbourhood?

I've not come across Mugabi Byenkya before so will need to explore some more.

@mardybadger Volunteering I will be anywhere between Pagoda and Playhouse keeping an eye on the stewards and the crowds. Occasionally contributing to worship with UnReCognised. Otherwise hanging out wherever there is poetry, passion or playfulness.

Being woke - in Christ's name

This is an extract from a sermon preached on 20th November 2022 - Christ the King Sunday For all who follow Jesus, for all who accept Jesu...

The Storm
by Mary Oliver

Now through the white orchard my little dog
romps, breaking the new snow
with wild feet.
Running here running there, excited,
hardly able to stop, he leaps, he spins
until the white snow is written upon
in large, exuberant letters,
a long sentence, expressing
the pleasures of the body in this world.
Oh, I could not have said it better

@HansonOak I'm well. Like you, trying to negotiate my way around this space and find some people I know and discover others. So just thought I'd respond to your plea fo a "Hello"
@HansonOak Hello!
@TashPoetry Don't put yourself down - at the very least you need to be listening as the words saunter by.
