I'm a massive Tennis fan, and recently I watched a documentary on the life of Rafa Nadal, one of my favourite players in the game, who had to retire recently. His uncle coached him from the age of 4, till 2016, and he was one of the most injured players in the game.
This documentary was complimented by excellent audio description, which makes it possible for me as a blind person, to watch TV independently and get the most from a documentary or show. #AudioDescription
Watch SpongeBob SquarePants (Season 17) | Prime Video

Follow the aquatic adventures of a yellow sea sponge named SpongeBob who lives in a pineapple under the sea. When SpongeBob gets together with his friends in Bikini Bottom, there's always nautical nonsense to be found!

#Bllind people, check out the #FIFA “audio description” app. I missed that it exists until yesterday. It effectively gives you a radio broadcast of all the #WorldCup matches, with maybe a little more visual description than a regular radio broadcast. So it’s not exactly audio description, but super useful, especially in the US where the “radio” broad cast is just the audio from the TV. And pre/post-match they do actual audio description of what’s going on in-stadium. Only thing I don’t like about it is there’s no crowd noise in the background, so it’s way less exciting. And there’s no way to sync it with anything else, so you can’t get the usual energy of a broadcast. #Football #WorldCup #Blindness #AudioDescription

So much on your Mac screen is never described. Videos with no audio description. Slides nobody reads aloud.

Perspective Describe uses on-device AI to describe it for you, and nothing leaves your machine. It is audio description for everyone, and I am using it this week to follow WWDC labs that are not accessible.

Using TestFlight is a great way to help developers test beta versions of their apps.

The #audioDescription on the #WWDC keynote implied that the new #AirPods EQ will only be three-band. Welcome nevertheless but if this is accurate, talk about doing the bare minimum. #WWDC26

Thrilled to learn that Insomniac posted the list of #accessibility features for Marvel’s Wolverine alongside the gameplay trailer that also has audio description! Now that’s how you announce a game! Lots of great features for #blind gamers, so here’s hoping the game will be accessible because I’ve been wanting a more mature Marvel game. The game itself even lists it will have audio description in several languages!
