@ifixcoinops Every time I see your “panels lined up against my house gets 1.6kw on a sunny day” I think hey my house could do that and then I go outside and realize my house is not your house.

You know what I have lined up against my house? Trees. And North.

I did get some portable solar panels - I got ones that are small enough to carry around but a bit uncomfortably large to carry around and it’s definitely too small to reliably power the laptop

Works a treat with the phone though

@lemay absolutely love it though, I should find some local master gardeners to ask about some weed issues I’m dealing with
@lemay more evidence based than many doctor offices

@quester that’s such a lovely shade of green

@ajroach42 That philosophy keeps me firmly in the middle of “this software works” even if it meant that blog images were broken for 3-5 years for me at one point

I do think Drupal is on a more solid foundation, at least over the past 4-5 years or so is concerned, compared to the past.

But Drupal Burnout is real and I respect it

@ajroach42 ha ha I was going to give you my experiences with running Drupal commerce but fair enough.

I also had a very difficult upgrade with Drupal and settled on the following philosophy:

If it’s not a core module, do not install it. Otherwise it will be abandoned somewhere along the line.

I don’t care if the site looks and or works like absolute dogshit. Installing a non standard module is not worth it.

@ajroach42 when you look at Drupal commerce, keep in mind the folks who developed it immediately created a company to sell consulting services on creating Drupal commerce stores.

Drupal commerce does check a few of your boxes. I was always irritated that the devs provided very poor documentation and kept trying to get people to sign up for consulting services.

That was over 16 years ago though and maybe someone has written a good installation guide by now

@quester why wouldn’t they localize the time

Or randomize it in a range per user - like that’s part of it, you have to figure it out from clues

I'm one of those audiophiles who go on about speaker settings and placement, cables and DACs to play all my vinyl and high bitrate music, and force people listen to 'my incredible setup'. Turns out I've had my left/right speakers the wrong way round. For 7 years.
