@apzpins I’ve been looking for a Jarritos cola ever since I saw your post the other day and they just don’t carry cola here

I was in the urban farm supply store when two women started getting into a *just loud enough to be uncomfortable but nobody is staring* argument about their relationship. They kept moving around the tiny store as people would browse near them but there was no where in the store where everyone wouldn’t hear them if they were going to continue at that volume.

“She’s your ex, and what she does with her life is none of your business!” “I know, I know, I’m sorry” was the gist of it

@ajroach42 I got caught up in additional junk this morning but I have more thoughts on this whole thing. This whole thing looks pretty cool though

@ajroach42 my first thought: is there a reason why you can’t do a few of different models, price to the level of pain in the ass. And see what sells?

[time passes]

I mean. I sat with it for a bit. I can think of a few reasons why not to do that I suppose.

The 34 has their newer chip so it’s a bit more expensive. The 35xxsp is closer to 60 dollars. https://anbernic.com/products/rg35xxsp

(This tarrif situation sucks. You can get those for 40 at Ali express but they won’t ship to the US)

One more hint: Plasma arc fire lighters are excellent for cutting synthetic cord without fraying. They are basically plasma hot knives. I keep one specifically for this purpose, and it's a huge time saver over cutting and trying to immediately use a butane lighter to ball up the instant fraying and then deal with a molten blob of plastic.
@mcdanlj that’s a good idea!
This is someting I wish I'd realized a lot sooner in life.

I got a tube of #Qor #watercolor Naples Yellow Deep earlier in the week and sat down with it yesterday.

It’s an odd duck so far! In my experience the Qor line of paints experience the least amount of color shifting while drying. I really love that about them. And Naples Yellow Deep throws that out the window. I’ve never had this experience of mixing a color, hating how it looked wet, just despising it, and having it look pretty nice when it dries.

@hacks4pancakes what’s the name of it, do you know? When I search, I see several documentaries he has been in, but nothing released in 2026.

@hasani @StillIRise1963 those are nice shots, good job

Im a good photographer but always had a problem when it comes to portrait photography, so I’m envious of folks who come to it naturally
