I wish the IRS would just take my money instead of tormenting me with their fucked up riddles

Nintendo’s CEO recently said “If we reduce the number of employees for better short-term financial results, employee morale will decrease” and is instead doing the opposite by raising pay to address inflation.

Some leaders are built different.

Is there a fancy science term for the process by which capitalism ruins everything? Like how somebody comes up with something cool and makes it happen and it's good, and then it turns into a company, and then the company is incentivized to gradually ruin the thing and find the worst version of the product that consumers will still tolerate so as to maximize investor profit?

In music we call this process "selling out" but is there a more general term?

Like, do people still download the plugin's JS file and add it to the HTML with its own script tag? Or would they import the ESM module, or require a CJS module, or something else?
How does one author a jQuery plugin in 2023? Is that still a thing? I have an old one that I want to keep alive as I move the main module to ESM. #frontend #webdev #jquery #javascript
