This is what the same space looks like today. The only "serious" construction was moving the shower drain from the center to the far wall and the vanity faucet from the wall to the sink. Everything else is cosmetic. Now that the contractors are done, I need to polish all the brass so it will all patina at the same rate instead of some tarnishing from contractor sweaty fingers. Ew. All of the metal is unlacquered brass, and the push-button light switches are magical. #HomeRenovation #Renovation

The GC signed off on the bathroom reno this morning. Except for the handles on the cupboards, this is what the bathroom looked like when we bought our home 15 years ago. It was going to be our very first project since we were going to turn it back into the closet it literally was. It is 4' x 10' including the shower. #HomeRenovation #HomeRemodel #NewBathroom

I was struggling with Audrey's quote this morning. My yard is my happy place. It's basically our family room if it's above 60°f. So, last night, watching the hail fall for what felt like forever was distressing, to say the least.

This morning, amongst the crushed plants, I found Mother Nature had picked the year's first strawberries. I guess I'll be back to it today.

Years ago, when we bought our home, my husband pressure-cooked the window hardware to remove the many layers of paint. Recently, we gave the interior #Doors #UnlacqueredBrass hardware. So pretty! Last week, I busted out the brass polish to clean up the now tarnished window hardware. Except, oops, it's plated, and I ruined it with the brass polish. Today, the #Windows got their new raw #Brass jewelry. And I cleaned up the patio door #Corbin #Nightlatch deadbolt, too. #House #DIY

I wasn't feeling it this morning, so I threw on some red lipstick (#Sephora 96 Red Velvet matte, if you're curious). The next thing I knew I was basking in the 62°F sunshine and dancing to #TaylorSwift while cleaning out #Garden beds (thanks for the inspo @SunnJax!). Then I chopped all the veggies for this week's salads. After that, I decided to put some brass cleaner on a 120-year-old mirror (it'll start to darken again immediately). So productive today. All because of a little red #Lipstick.
