👀 “Radioactive roads” could be headed to #Florida after Gov. Ron #DeSantis signed a bill that may allow the state to use a mining waste for road construction that contains a “radioactive gas” known to cause lung cancer and that's a hazard to the environment.
Phosphogypsum is a material known by the EPA to contain a "potentially cancer-causing, radioactive gas," that's the second-leading cause of lung cancer in the U.S.
