I just opened the app and immediately I saw 30+ unread notifications, and I was like, bro wtf I'm not that popular

all my past notifications were marked as unread for some reason

JD Vance visited The Vatican. Then the pope died.

JD Vance visited Hungary. Orban's government died.

First thing tomorrow, send JD to Moscow!

for some reason, i’ve been feeling this pull toward the analogue, the offline, in the things i love.

somehow, watercolour painting became more interesting than digital art for me. it's fun, even though i'm bad at it. water control on paper is brutal, but i love the elegant, organic finish once it dries. it's something that i don't think you can really replicate effortlessly in software.

also, vinyl records! i still adore the FLACs on my phone, but there's something ritualistic about pulling out an LP and playing it on a turntable. the cover is part of the ritual, too. it's like a little picture you can admire, and maybe even put on a wall if you're creative enough.

idk, i started to see a certain beauty in things that are not necessarily computers.

which is quite an ironic thing to say on a fedi instance that revolves around tech with furries in it.
