for some reason, i’ve been feeling this pull toward the analogue, the offline, in the things i love.
somehow, watercolour painting became more interesting than digital art for me. it's fun, even though i'm bad at it. water control on paper is brutal, but i love the elegant, organic finish once it dries. it's something that i don't think you can really replicate effortlessly in software.
also, vinyl records! i still adore the FLACs on my phone, but there's something ritualistic about pulling out an LP and playing it on a turntable. the cover is part of the ritual, too. it's like a little picture you can admire, and maybe even put on a wall if you're creative enough.
idk, i started to see a certain beauty in things that are not necessarily computers.
which is quite an ironic thing to say on a fedi instance that revolves around tech with furries in it.
