Recently, I bought 3 12-packs of 7-up Zero Sugar soda from #target , and it was available on a promotional deal that saved me something like $3/12-pack if I bought 3. They only had two in stock even know their site said 10+, so they gave me those two via drive-up and proceeded to charge me full price on each 12-pack instead of honoring the per 12-pack deal price.
Target sent me a survey asking how they did, and I let them have it. To their credit, they did get the note to the proper person at the proper store (snippet below), but they didn't offer to do anything about it without further discussion.
What could they do? Well, at a bare minimum, offer the two 12-packs at the promotional rate since they couldn't deliver the third, or maybe even throw me a $10 store credit.
I know they have been dealing with a lot due to the ongoing DEI boycott, seems to me that right now (of all times) isn't the best time to not give a fuck about existent customers.

My name is xxx and I’m the Service and Engagement Leader at the xxx Target store. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm truly sorry for the frustration caused by your recent experience with the soda promotion. I understand how disappointing it is when part of a deal falls through and you're charged full price unexpectedly.
We strive to honor promotional pricing whenever possible, and I apologize that this situation wasn't handled correctly especially after you made the effort to pick up the missing item from another location. We appreciate your feedback and are sharing it with the team to help improve future experiences.
