I'm generally not an impulsive kind of guy, but I just marched into #microcenter in #tustin (Cali) and bought an #asus ROG Strix G16 laptop with a GTX 4070 and an i9. While I had to leave it to install updates while I went to work, I can honestly say that the thing I like least about it is the backlit keyboard (I gotta figure out out to brighten the shit out of the keys and turn the rando RGB effects off).

I also bought a #glorious model O v2 mouse.

I think the hardest part of the install is going to be figuring out what my Microsoft Account login PW is. I am using a pin on my Lenovo, I'm assuming that won't translate to the new laptop.

I hope to have Steam and #fallout76 installed by tonight, but I work until 9pm :(

• 3pm PDT: Outdoor light in living room dims, I check to see if I missed eclipse notice
• 4pm PDT: light rain and thunderstorms (!?)

This very much reminds me of monsoonal weather patterns around the Gulf of Mexico or Phoenix/Tuscon in the summertime, but it's about 20 degrees cooler and nice outside.

NGL, I could do with a whole week of this.

Not proud of the fact that I still have IG accounts, but I do. While sitting waiting for my laundry to finsh, I went into reels and started blocking MAGAt accounts. The more I blocked, the more (in terms of percentage) MAGAt posts I received.

Isn't the algo smart enough to start feeding me things other than #id10t red hat accounts? (yeah, I know, I just answered my own question)
