I have 4 tabs open to read and learn about vgo, the #golang solution to semantic versioning package management.
Frustratingly, that won't happen tonight. The closer I get to completion the giddier I get. Unfortunately, even after initial release there's still more to be done.
- I still need to write the stub #ActivityPub server with the lib so that I can generate an implementation report.
- I feel like I need a gorilla-toolkit-style website for the API docs as well as a tutorial
Alright, since the previous #factorio screenshot is pretty benign, I traced the defended areas as the game unfolded.
The magenta ring is the current "safe area", with the 8 green segments the defenses from buggers. Most of the border is water. Within this area are 3 purple rings; those are enclaves of buggers that are stuck on islands that I haven't arty'd yet.
The yellow, orange, red, and maroon rings show the defended "safe areas" during different points of the game, as I expanded.
Here is my factorio world. Very high water and cliffs, resource frequency high and richness high to offset most of the resource spawns being underwater. Enemy settings equivalent to those in a death world.
My old starter base is in the center, mostly abandoned. My main factory is entirely built in the water on the right side. Lots of landfill was required. Most borders with aliens are at chokepoints. Can see legacy rings of defense for the old base, too. The insane geography has been very fun!
Still on my nostalgia train. Choo choo! This time looking up the old esoteric memes that used to make up a lot of 4chan's /b/ board when the site was young. I cannot believe I found this one from memory.
