- Design / draft board game (PnP)
- Start re-development of blog (Digital garden?)
I had to get a replacement phone for a bit while I sent my iPhone 14 in for repair (front camera gradually died, hopefully covered by the two year warranty 🤞)
On a whim I decided to try the CMF Phone 1, and despite feeling a bit wobbly using Android again I'm pleasantly surprised by this thing! The battery life has impressed me, the camera is great, screen too.
Honestly I don't think I've found a complaint yet.
Easy to recommend this as a "budget" option.

I've outgrown this one by way of having a few other accounts on here that I also use, and it's ramped up my database usage to the point I needed to pay for a larger plan.
So instead of one higher tier plan, I will have two lower tier plans. This also allows me to move to a more fitting domain name too (where my blog will be! 🥳 )
I'll be sticking with @mastohost of course, it's been nothing but a great experience 💚
Richard MacManusQuestion for all the image optimization nerds out there: when you add image files to your project, is it better to pre-optimize them or just upload a high-quality file? e.g. say I have a 1,280 pixel wide image that is 900kb. Should I upload that to my project as-is, or use e.g. Gimp to create a 1,280 px wide file that is about 300kb? What is the norm among the #11ty community? Or others, e.g. #WordPress ?
Postponing this to tomorrow as the air quality is pretty rough, and it's late.
( we also have a delivery arriving tomorrow at a delivery locker, so we avoid having to venture out twice this way 😊 )
Today is mini-adventure day! 🥾 for which I am so happy as this summer made it hard to go out and do anything - then we got Covid at the end 🙃
We're starting off small to re-build our strength (Still getting easily exhausted...) so we're headed to a nearby city and will walk along the sea front.
We'll also have to take it easy because the air quality doesn't seem too good, due to all the forest fires actively happening in the north of the country 😔
😭 Even after finding out I had the incorrect export settings and went from a 80GB to 10GB estimated export, Final Cut Pro still crashed on me and ran out of application memory over and over again.
I still had to slice up the project into 4, export 12min chunks, and then join them up again outside of that...
So, right now I am downloading DaVinci Resolve and we'll see how a new video edit goes over the weekend 🤞
