There is currently a wave of phishing emails going to 20i customers claiming that a domain renewal payment failed

The emails look legitimate but comes from an unconnected domain & has masked links

20i are aware of it and confirm that it started today & their abuse team are working on resolving the issue

If you or anyone you know uses 20i, be aware of this and be very careful

The renewal date listed was also wrong

@happyborg I use DDG and Brave but mostly DDG with JavaScript blocked so I get the HTML only page without AI etc

I saw someone use google the other day, it's a complete, unusable mess but people are conditioned to "google" something so just accept it. It's also the default engine in most browsers and people rarely change

It's easy to switch but most people either don't know you can or don't want to

@ploum @librewolf I use Librewolf as my daily driver on Endeavour but my only criticism is that, like all Firefox based browsers, it has the unresolved (4 years from bug report and counting) Isolated Web Co memory leak issue but this is a problem from Mozilla not Librewolf

Librewolf is exactly what Firefox should be.

To the point where I find in #Librewolf new features I was explicitly missing in #firefox (like clicking on the lock to enable/disable cookies for a specific website)

And, yet, it works perfectly in #debian thanks to extrepo. But, seriously, it should be considered as the default Debian browser.

Congratulations to the team!

Don’t wait on Mozilla, switch to Librewolf !

@thelinuxcast I moved off fosstodon the other day (it took a few days to get my new account approved) because of the mod drama & likelihood of fediblock

I personally never had issues with anyone on fosstodon but it didn't sit right having a mod in a position of power being so publicly transphobic and advocating for deportations

I think the drama was overblown but the situation still made me uneasy

I just found out about Mike and Kev

@thelinuxcast @Mastodon @Tusky thank you. I will have a look for that later

Edit: just installed it. I looks nice

That's odd.

The official @Mastodon app on android won't allow me to add my new account but Tusky will.

Log into my new account (this one) using the official appvbut the authorise button does nothing.

Looks like I'll be sticking with @Tusky for now which is quite a nice app once you get used to it
