So Amazon are now using Persona for ID checks too on buyers - my 18-year-old daughter has just lost a gift voucher because having let her add it to her account, they promptly cancelled an order she placed using the gift balance and are demanding she upload digital ID. Attempts to fix this over the phone have failed and long story short, the money she was given appears to be lost unless she's prepared to hand Persona her details.

Gamerz.net hosted a service to play abstract board games via email. It ran for over 30 years, and was recently shuttered by its operator. In a correspondence confirming the service’s closure, its operator said, “I hope I helped you reduce your productivity just a little bit.”

I suspect they meant it flippantly, but the more I think about it, the more I find that to be an extremely lovely sentiment. I hope I help you reduce your productivity just a little bit.
