@AnneCamozzi @chenx064 I also requested an archive. Preferences ==> Import/Export ==> Request Archive. I did it solely for the media. Once it compiles, sends you a link to your email, and you open the zipped file, you will go through endless file folder trees, but the one marked "original" will have your media. I moved those files into a separate folder, then deleted anything that was pointless to keep. But I got a whole lot of my bird photos back. You'll have to rename your media files.
@AnneCamozzi @SororPeregrina I too am at a loss. At some point I suppose I'll find a new instance and try to transport whatever I can. I understand that you can migrate your follows and followers, but not your content. Is that right?
