The ruin of #TopWithens - tagged as the inspiration for Wuthering Heights, it was a working farmhouse when Emily Brontë wrote the novel, but a long walk from the parsonage. It was one of three farmhouses this family had, so there are 2 more Within ruins along the path. This top house was in such a wind swept location, what a place to have lived & farmed.
By the time we went to #HebdenBridge I was less window aware, but I'll just reshare some photos of the general building vibe of the area.

Salt Mill #Saltaire
Working hours were 07.30 - 16.15 so the windows were "probably" the lighting for the workplace, as there was a high fire risk from any other Victorian lighting!! I guess during winter some of that time was pretty dark. ( Something else to research!!)
Brontë museum, and church, one window is dedicated to Charlotte Brontë, and another interesting High Street shop with top floor door ( we didn't go inside)
