First, turning off auto-renew is hidden, so you must scroll to find it. It is also organized in such a way that you will assume that the button on the PC Game Pass box will be the one to cancel your subscription.
Second, if you fall into their "trap", you're greeted with a screen "confirming" what you did, telling you that you are "good to go". This can be easily dismissed as a confirmation that you have successfully cancelled your subscription.
It is not, by far, the worst case I've seen. But I think the use of these #DarkPatterns is inexcusable and should be called out.
