I just noticed how terrible it is to cancel a subscription to the #Xbox #GamePass.

First, turning off auto-renew is hidden, so you must scroll to find it. It is also organized in such a way that you will assume that the button on the PC Game Pass box will be the one to cancel your subscription.

Second, if you fall into their "trap", you're greeted with a screen "confirming" what you did, telling you that you are "good to go". This can be easily dismissed as a confirmation that you have successfully cancelled your subscription.

It is not, by far, the worst case I've seen. But I think the use of these
#DarkPatterns is inexcusable and should be called out.

The look_at() function is now much better in Godot 4.1. We used to have to write our own because for many 3D models the function would make them look backward. There's now an optional argument to use the model space as the reference forwhat is the node's forward direction which helps to make models face the right direction.

This is increasingly how it feels, when things you "own" digitally become inaccessible, and when shows which are locked in streaming services can get delisted on a whim, disappearing forever.
