Debian 13 + XFCE does indeed fit on the 16GB 2422 M.2 drive with a bit of room to spare. Chromebox CN60.
@linux_mclinuxface I'm glad a had 2 to work with. The first one didn't seem to complete the transition to developer mode: it started, I walked away, and it was back in normal Chrome OS setup. No matter what I tried after I couldn't get the first back into developer mode. The second worked beautifully, and no just worked. Sadly, the largest M.2 2422 drive I had was 64GB, but that's enough for Ubuntu server and pihole.
