Born in 1831, Rebecca Lee Crumpler
became the first Black woman to graduate from medical school in the U.S.

Despite facing extreme racism & sexism, she practiced medicine with a focus on women & children. She also provided medical care to freed slaves.

@ferricoxide @jbf1755 Not only Christo, it's the majority beliefs, Christianity in the west, Islam in the middle-east and parts of Africa and Asia, Hinduism in the Indian subcontinent, Sino-communism in China, Orthodox-christianity in Russia, Judaism in Israel. Religious/ideological toxicity is everywhere.

@Sheril ironically, it was Churchill's government which both benefitted from his work as a cryptoanalyst and computer scientist and persecuted him as a perceived "threat" to national security.
