Pixelmator is the one I use the most and went into the old version and saw all of the tools that I used on the newer version were sitting right there which prompted me to look more at the suite as a whole.

Now if they brought back a modern version of Aperture and made it part of ACS then I would just say "take my money please"

@DanMorgan

Yes, I can see the value in the tools. Especially on the FCP side.

Time will tell and with some tools I end up finding out the simpler is all I need, and others I welcome the quality of life improvements that they offer.

My Apple Creator Studio trial expires at the beginning of the month. I still have both the new and the old apps.

Will I miss any of the new features?

Doing a quick video on my iPad in FCP will probably be the one thing I miss but 12.99 a month miss? Not so sure about that.

@simonbs And many times just trying is more that enough. I hope you enjoyed your time out there.
@devolute I agree with the statement but also that this app requires both FileVault and SIP to be disabled make it a hard pass.

I'm happy that Apple released encrypted RCS with the latest update. I went and looked at the carriers that I use and thankfully all of them support it.

Funny enough that GoogleFi does not show up on the supported carriers list.

@Okuna It's opt in on MacOS and iOS devices. It's there if you want it, not there if you don't.
