Apropos of nothing in particular, was delighted (as ever) to see some folk using the excellent toys at You Can Bike Too up in Milton today. Seriously, almost every kind of bike as a mobility aid or transport form to try out for folk who may not otherwise get a chance. Even better today in the mud :) https://www.miltoncountrypark.org/youcanbiketoo

Thought I might share this. Fiddling around with a photo of a basket of mushrooms picked yesterday, until it looks rather like it smells if your brain works like mine does. #foraging #synesthesia #mushrooms #photography #art

#COP27 is over. The 1.5°C limit remains in intensive care as condition deteriorates. A whole year was idled away. No big new climate targets but big support for fossil gas. 🧵

they put a christmas sweater on the t-rex at the national history museum in london and it's ridiculous and adorable

Growing up, Sesame Street taught me the importance of education, empathy, and kindness.

Bugs Bunny, on the other hand, taught me that revenge on my enemies should be quick, clever, and brutal.

You might have seen somebody using the proverb Vox Populi, Vox Dei. What was missing was the context in which it was used:

Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit.

In case you do not speak Latin, it means in English:

And those people should not be listened to who keep saying the voice of the people is the voice of God since the riotousness of the crowd is always very close to madness.

Just misread a message from a friend about a trans remembrance event in Cambridge as trains. In my head it's now a vigil with anorak wearing trans folk holding flasks of weak lemon drink. Anyway, I think the event is on Jesus Green so will see what's happening. Important awareness issue.
Bike down to the River Cam, in to Cambridge, and a bit of a potter I think. Thumping big old posties bike today. Because why not?
