The international court of justice has spoken: Israel isn't committing any genocide. In fact, they're free to keep doing what they're doing.
And those hamas terrorists who kidnapped civilians and won't let doctors see them? They've been ordered to release the hostages *NOW*.
@cferdinandi Israel is doing the best they can in an unenviable position. Have they made mistakes in the past? Yes. They are only human. Are they trying to do better? Also yes.
With the world being turned against them right now no matter what they do they will be vilified, and that's not right.
We also have to remember that Hamas is using Palestinian people as human shields in order to get the sensational headlines that makes Israel look like the bad guys. And that's not right, either.

Israel is defending it's right to exist against a terrorist organization that only wants to see Jews dead. It has nothing to do with the Palestinian people.
I'm also confused about your "state sanctioned settlement of Palestinian land", as Israel left the Gaza strip in 2005, forcibly removing their own citizens.
@cferdinandi Israel has been trying for *years* to find a way to co-exist peacefully with the Palestinian people. Israel provides basic utilities like water, electricity, etc.
The Palestinians are just as much a victim of Hamas as the Israeli people.
The history of the region is long and complicated. Sadly, most of what the international community knows is based on propaganda and not facts. Too much to enumerate in such a short text limit as Mastodon.
