A recent FT article has prompted discussion on birdsite as to why the idea that you become "more conservative as you age" seems to be breaking down.
As I've talked about before, this has ALWAYS misunderstood what happens. Which is that people become more conservative when they feel part of (or the opportunity to be part of) the status quo and want to preserve it.
And Xennials/below don't have that.
Here's a thread to explain. 🧵
@whatleydude @buffalogiu You can from a logged-out state on the web, as opposed to some native app.
But yeah no completely seamless answer to that at the moment. Serendipity and determination required, but also following/boosting folks a bit more speculatively than at the other place.
Hi friends, what a decade 2022 has been! I haven't written a post in a while so I thought I'd leave you all with a final one before the year ends. In it I take a look at four trends that have been at the center of Marketing and Advertising circles and whether we can be Skeptical or Optimistic about them, or both. I hope as always it makes you think, makes you want to tell me how wrong I am, but most of all makes you want to help make our industry better.
