The United appâs dynamic island and Lock Screen support is actually pretty impressive.
The dynamic island shows you your gate and gives you a running countdown to your boarding time.
âYouâre left to languish in the waiting room not knowing if youâre going to walk out alive. No one is paying attention. Nobodyâs coming to check on you.â
We'd also like to highlight @sarahutch's report on Greg Abbott's pointless cruelty against sickle cell disease sufferers, (mostly #Black people). The governor vetoed a bill which would have aided lifesaving treatment: https://www.texasobserver.org/sickle-cell-registry-bill-veto-abbott/

Another one bites the dust.
I used Reddit a lot, but I donât think I ever loved it quite as much as others did. Still, it was a great platform for discussion and information sharing for many years. Weâre going to feel this for a bit, and who knows what will rise up to replace it. May be a while.
Like Twitter let this be another lesson that if itâs not a portable platform and/or open source software, itâs only a matter of time before itâs gone or steered in an unusable direction.
RIP
Red state Republican leaders to federal government: âwe believe in small government and local lawâ
Red state Republican leaders to blue cities in their state: âyou have to do what we say, we canât have local authorities making the laws!â
A lot of the Facebook site itself just doesnât seem to work any more.
Tried to use the âview asâ functionality just to see what I have exposed to public viewers and it doesnât work. Tried multiple browsers. Page kinda hangs forever and then I get a âsorry, something is brokenâ message.
The stupid coverage of this billionaire sub just proves that even good ânewsâ organizations are entertainment not information. Iâd have to go back and count but I think a majority of the WaPo pushes to my device the last day or so were about this idiotic story that I just donât care about and objectively affects almost no one.
At this point itâs hard to recommend anyone engage with news regularly unless itâs small and local and independent.
