For my latest weekly #music thoughts -- this is a much expanded version of a Bluesky thread about what's been lost on multiple fronts when it comes to recent music history, and the continuing further risks run. A lot more examples, a slew of links. Free to read. https://www.patreon.com/posts/some-weekly-182-154029995

West Oakland BART should be a transit hub for everything on the east bay. The whole neighborhood should have way more resources. It should be more walkable. There should be better road design, traffic calming, bike lanes. I can dream, I guess.

I'll be performing tonight in Fort Bragg, CA with old friends in a new trio: Kevin Corcoran and Chris Cooper. I have a new setup involving amplified bass clarinet, and Kevin has some sort of amplified percussion rig that I haven't heard. Chris is bringing his blasted & refracted guitar assemblage, and we will attempt to weave it all together into something new.

An outdoor show at the Larry Spring Museum of Common Sense Physics. Doors open at 5pm.

Chris and I continue north to Arcata tomorrow before returning to the Bay, where I have a few more dates this week.
