R.I.P. actor Mark Margolis.

I had the pleasure of working with him at Berkeley Rep on Tony Kushner's "iHo". I really struggled making the score for this show and (after getting heavy notes from Kushner: "all wrong") in the heat of my difficulties, Mark came up to me and told me he thought the score was beautiful and reminded him of Bernstein's music for "On the Waterfront". That was an immense bolster for me and his comments helped me get through a very difficult process. Grateful blessings.
