@bahar I'm thinking musicals meets tissue engineering. Perhaps a little bit like the most recent version of Cats?
Wow! Biomusical Engineering. Who knew I know anything about that!
@VictorVenema How'd you find that one so quickly 😉
@VictorVenema It would be easy and convenient - absolutely. But there are messages I do not use my work email for, that are still worth sending (and for which I have another email address). The same (self-)censorship could apply here.
@riannefijten As for the why: any systematic review seeks to collect the current state of the art on any given subject matter. Knowledge contained in pre-prints is knowledge still, but lacking certification. As long as you differentiate - sure.
@riannefijten You can include all sorts of things in systematic reviews, as long as you differentiate between types of content: grey lit and reviewed lit and preprints and books, etc.
@VictorVenema @gerald_leppert @unihohenheim @unijena @utwente @Tuan @[email protected] @dukhovni @staff @astatu It would tie accounts to institutes and might compromise the independence of the #Mastodiscourse
@riannefijten @[email protected] I just applied to the @fediscience.org server. I'll let you know how that turns out.
Hi there Mastodon. I am new here on Mastodon – and so are many of you too. I am a sociologist of science (also #STS)and am mainly interested in how scientific claims and scientists acquire and maintain #credibility. I love to study #contested #knowledge domains, including the scientific #reform community, #food and #nutrition science, and a lot more. Want to know more? I’ll be sharing my work here, but also random rants and politics.
